If you’re already in your 20s or 30s, you may be approaching that time in your life where you’re starting to realize you aren’t going to be young forever. And if you’re like most people, you probably freaked out the first time you thought you had a wrinkle or a gray hair.
If you listen to the cosmetic industry, we need dozens of creams and oils to keep our skin looking its best. And while moisturizing can be quite beneficial to the skin, there are also many natural ways to fight aging from the inside out.
One of the best things you can do is to cut processed, added sugars from your diet. Sugar is terrible for your complexion because the glucose and insulin spikes can be stressful to the body. Eat organically instead. Fresh fruits, veggies and nuts are rich in vitamins and antioxidants to keep the skin radiant, and the body, healthy. Nuts are also rich in protein and fat to keep that youthful glow, maintain collagen and keep skin wrinkle-free. Dietary fats promote cellular integrity as well, helping skin cells maintain their best form.
Keeping skin externally healthy can be achieved with a good, natural moisturizer, a gentle exfoliator and some topical vitamin C to fight aging.
